A Word On Our Reno’s

Big things are happening, here at Hotel Illawong, as we continue to revamp this cool little coastal pub, stage by stage. 

The first stage has transformed the front bar back in time, with a little more comfort and some mod-cons. We always planned a nod to nostalgia here….and as we peeled back the layers, we discovered the best gift ever – some beautiful, original, mostly intact Art Deco floor tiles. With the perfect blend of old and new, think “6 o’clock swill” in this cosy corner! 

The journey now continues with an exciting new back beer garden and an indoor/outdoor bar on the way. Designed for relaxed afternoons, easy evenings, lie music and our classic coastal pub atmosphere. Upstairs, our accommodation is also getting a major upgrade to be perfectly suited to both weekend escapes and longer stays, including ensuites. 

So don’t despair, out front our two new bars and bistro will remain open as usual, while we tinker out in the backyard!
